Skeleton Sea

13m EventHaus® with Full Digital Print Canopy supports at Volvo Ocean Race and Skeleton Sea's environmental campaign ‘Keep The Oceans Clean'.

The Volvo Ocean Race is mounting a global campaign to raise awareness of the increasing pollution that is swirling in our oceans, threatening sea-life and washing ashore on beaches across the world.
Together with artist collective Skeleton Sea, the Volvo Ocean Race is voicing a call to arms for everyone to help reduce pollution and share in a simple message through the Keep the Oceans Clean! initiative.

Artists João Parrinha, Luis de Dios and Xandi Kreuzeder joined forces to create Skeleton Sea. All three are ambitious surfers, and all three have also established several art projects to date. They work in an effort to communicate their visions of the meeting point between Mother Nature, Sport and Art. Their creations have made a successful contribution to raising environmental awareness from the perspective of those that rely on nature to feed their passion for sport.

The imposing sculptures and six-minute film will be on show at the equally intriguing and inviting Keep the Oceans Clean! dome, which will follow the path of the 39,000 nautical mile ocean race.

The nine-month race includes stopovers at Cape Town, Abu Dhabi, Sanya, Auckland, Itajaí, Miami, Lisbon and Lorient. The fleet of six yachts crewed by the world’s most elite sailors will cross the finish line at Galway, Ireland in July 2012.

Through the UK manufacturing process any off cuts were recycled as part of the 'TexyLoop' scheme to reinforce the green credentials and illustrates Baconinflate's commitment to its environmental policy within standard production.
