Baconinflate join AGOTS

Baconinflate's Technical Director Richard Bacon has been asked to join The Advisory Group on Temporary Structures (AGOTS).

The group which was formed in 1999 set out to provide an ongoing focus, relating to temporary structures in the leisure industry. Memberships of the group include;

* Core Cities Group
* Communities and Local Government (CLG)
* Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
* Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE)
* Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA)
* The Event Suppliers Association (TESA)
* The Performance Textiles Association
* The Production Services Association (PSA)

With the general increase in the mediums popularity given many operational advantages, namely speed of erection and dismantle times, Baconinflate, as a leading manufacturer and operator (MUTA accredited) hopes to support HSE and InStructe with guidance for the safe procurement and use with many non-engineered designs being manufacture not suitable for use within the UK weather climate.

Baconinflate continues to strengthen the relationship with structural engineer partners Capita and through a combination of physical testing, experience in the field and fabrication knowledge continue to develop new ideas and techniques backed by leading structural engineers.
