Project: FIFA Football Competition

Brief:

A brief for the combined efforts of EA Sports, Microsoft XBox and FIFA necessitated a very special approach to a global XBox competition, bringing the best FIFA players on Earth together in friendly console rivalry. Baconinflate were asked to design and construct a series of gaming pods for players to use, in an innovative and exciting form.

Results:

The challenge with creating giant inflatable footballs was relatively straightforward for Baconinflate, but integrating the games consoles and screens was a new and exciting hurdle to leap. The patterning mimicked a real football, with recessed screens showing the action. In total we built over 70 FIFA balls, which were operated across the globe for a truly international competition.
